The audit will be ready for the board to approve at our June board meeting. Irrigation season is upon us, and has been busy as always. We currently have connected 43 new irrigation services for the 2025 season. To serve these, we constructed 12 miles of new three-phase line. A Letter from our General Manager 2024 turned out to be a very busy year with irrigators converting to electric, new home services, and general maintenance that included breaker testing, load testing, infrared scans of our system, and annual pole testing. All that is a yearly process but what also came from 2024 is continued negotiations with NPPD for a long-term wholesale contract and a rate study that was completed by CFC. I am going to talk about the latter two in depth along with what I see coming in 2025 and beyond.

Notice of an Upcoming Rate Increase It has been a very busy last couple of months here at Niobrara Valley Electric (NVE). Irrigation went deep into September this year due to our dry conditions; harvest was also fast and furious for the same reasons.
