This past summer has been shaped by both opportunities and challenges, especially as they relate to our irrigation customers. Niobrara Valley had more irrigation control hours in 2026 than we had in 2023–2025 combined. We even saw irrigation load control on two Sundays in July due to high energy demand. Niobrara Valley hadn’t had to control irrigators on a Sunday since 2012.
